About me
My name is Antonio Vicente, I was born in Espeja, province of Salamanca.
At the age of 14 I went to San Sebastián where I studied drawing and painting at the academy of the painter Juan Francisco Villagarcía.
At the age of 20 I took a trip to Paris and fell completely in love with it, so I decided to stay. Soon after, I enrolled in a painting school, at the same time I also studied photography and took a film course.
The discovery of the Impressionists and other painters of this period marked me a lot and were a great influence on my artistic life.
Throughout my life I have had numerous exhibitions in Paris and abroad and one of the most important was the exhibition at the San Telmo Museum, in San Sebastián, the city where I took my first artistic steps.
On several occasions I was awarded diplomas such as:
- Diploma of the European Academy of Arts.
- Diploma of arts, sciences and letters.
- Medal of the city of Paris.
- Order of French courtesy.
- Order of Merit, Belgo-Hispanic Association, Rubens Academy.
- The Legion des Gens de Coeur.
- French humanitarian grand prix.
I belong to the modern school that seeks a new way of expression and I have managed, from the influence of certain impressionists and Fauvism, to achieve an original formula of great strength, rich in color and matter, personal good.< /p>
Currently I offer you themes with my own style, based on a deep inspiration in the impressionists and especially in Vincent Van Gogh, without forgetting my origins in Salamanca that are reflected in my various bullfighting themes.
